The capital of the Emirates will soon have a new attraction - the world's largest surfing pool. Surf Abu Dhabi is scheduled to open by the end of 2023. According to the latest data, the pool will become not only a place of relaxation, but also a sports arena. They plan to hold international competitions among surfers here. Not only masters of sports, but also beginners are allowed to swim. In general, Surf Abu Dhabi became part of the master plan of Modon Properties, which planned the development of the island on 51 million m².
There are also plans to open the Velodrome Abu Dhabi velodrome on the island in 2025, which, of course, will also be the largest in the world. The first UCI category 1 indoor cycle track in the region is already open at Hodariyat. In the near future, international tournaments will be held there. The length of the bicycle path network will be 220 km.
In addition to Surf Abu Dhabi and Velodrome Abu Dhabi, Hudayriat Island already has sports infrastructure. You can ride bicycles at Bike Park or 321 Sports. The largest city park with an overpass for cyclists and an eco-farm will also be built on the island. Tourists will be able to walk through the mangroves.
For outdoor enthusiasts, there are soccer fields, jogging and biking trails, basketball and tennis courts, including indoor ones, skate parks, an obstacle course and water sports. Hudayriyat Island is also famous for one of the longest beaches in Abu Dhabi.
